Let's say a B747 is on Track ALPHA, westbound, and their landfall fix is say PRAWN. Hi-level Gander ACC is waiting for them. When the aircraft crosses over 50W, what does the Gander Radio operator say (the whole string of pertinent information conveyed) to the aircraft's flight crew?

For information on Gander Oceanic Handoffs, please refer to the new Gander website here: http://www.czwg.ca/gander/?p=controller#7

Note that I am not a real controller, this is the way we do it on VATSIM.

Some dialogue:
Quote:

Pilot: "Gander, readback is correct"
ATC: "Air Canada 856 roger. Contact Shanwick radio on 131.800 once crossing 5430N. Safe travels."
Pilot: "Roger contact Shanwick radio 131.800 overhead 5430N. Air Canada 856. Adios!"

or

* SELCAL Alerting ACA856 *
Pilot: "Air Canada 856 SELCAL recieved. Go ahead."
ATC: "Air Canada 856, Contact Shanwick radio on 131.800 overhead 5430N. Take care."
Pilot: "Roger contact Shanwick radio 131.800 overhead 5430N. Air Canada 856. Cya!"

Cheers

Great to see a vGander Radio website back up. I was figuring FSS would instruct westbounds headed for PRAWN and so on to contact CZQX_CTR before PRAWN or whichever other landfall, only that where the actual frequency change occurs is unclear.
